IH Parts America has been serving the IH community for over 20 years. IH Parts America is owned and operated by IH enthusiasts Jeff and Norma Ismail with help from their kids Zaed and Amy. Our 11000 \sqft facility is in the Northern California Sierra Foothills small town of Grass Valley, just an hour northeast of Sacramento and 1 1/2 hours west of Reno.
Most everyone that works here at IH Parts America has had at some point in their life crossed paths with an old IH truck or Scout. For the owner Jeff, his father used an old International Harvester truck in the family gardening and landscape business and a separate IH truck for going hunting and fishing. It wasn't until 1990 when Jeff got an IH of his own, a 1976 Scout II (that he still owns to this day). Pretty soon he accepted his first side job to replace the clutch on a neighbor's 1979 Scout II. As they say, it was history from there.
Jeff officially began working on and selling parts for IH Trucks and Scouts fulltime in January 1996. However, by late 1999 he shut business down to go into the general automotive field. After working at a few local automotive shops and taking a couple of business classes at the local community college, Jeff opened back up for business in April 2004. Since then, some of the best people around, mostly already good friends that are more like family, have joined him. Together we have built IH Parts America to be known as one of the leading parts and service suppliers for IH Scout's, Pickup's and Travelall's.
In March 2007 we introduced our own private label line of parts called CPT - Crawler Proven Technology that specializes in stock replacement and aftermarket parts for IH International Harvester Light Line vehicles.
In May 2018 we purchased Binder Books, a licensed business dealing in the reproduction of IH parts, service, and owner's manuals. Jeff's wife Norma manages this part of the business.
