OE factory brake drum has been sandblasted, inspected, then turned on our brake lathe and painted black.

Q: Do most people prefer to buy the new drum or the reman drums? I will be trying to get my current ones turned but plan to order a set in case they are too far gone so i have parts ready to go. Is the new drum a different manufacturer? If so does quality differ much? Thanks
